Summer Student Employment

The Iron Ore Company of Canada is seeking applications from post-secondary students for the 2021 Student Employment Program. The Iron Ore Company of Canada, will be hiring students in the summer months to assist with vacation coverage in Labrador City. These students work in our mine, plant and railway facilities as part of a team to ensure day-to-day activities continue to move forward during peak vacation periods.



• Students must be currently attending and returning to a full-time program at a post-secondary educational institution
• Students must be available to work the entire summer period from the selected start date on the Student Verification Form until August 27. 2021
• Students that are being considered for safety sensitive roles must successfully complete the substance abuse testing as well as fitness testing requirements for summer employment

General Information

• Students will be paid a rate of $35.81 an hour
• Interested students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Labrador City as well as their own accommodations
• Students must indicate which position they wish to be considered for
