At IOC we are committed to working with Indigenous Businesses who meet our supplier requirements and HSEC standards. The bidder must certify in its submitted bid that it is an Indigenous business or joint venture as described below.

 

The Indigenous business must certify, in its submitted bid, a demonstrate proof of partnership with an acknowledged registry with either of the following 5 Indigenous Groups:

 

  • Innu of Matimekush-Lac John (Quebec);
  • Innu of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam (Quebec);
  • Labrador Innu (Sheshatshiu and Natuashish, Labrador, as represented by Innu Nation);
  • Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach (Quebec)
  • NunatuKavut Community Council (Labrador)


OR

  • Demonstrate Indigenous ownership, of 51% or more, by a member of either of the following 5 Indigenous Groups:
  • Innu of Matimekush-Lac John (Quebec);
  • Innu of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam (Quebec);
  • Labrador Innu (Sheshatshiu and Natuashish, Labrador, as represented by Innu Nation);
  • Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach (Quebec)
  • NunatuKavut Community Council (Labrador)
